How to Read an SBTI Result

Many users stop at the result name, but the result page is easier to understand if you read it in layers.

Start with the type name

The type name is the emotional hook. It gives you the fastest sense of the persona and tone behind the result.

At this stage, you are not looking for precision yet. You are just understanding the framing.

Then read the long description

The long description is where the result becomes clearer, because it explains the style, attitude, and logic behind the type name.

This part usually tells you whether the result actually feels relatable.

Finish with the dimension notes

The dimension notes explain how the final result was assembled and why two users can feel different even when the surface result looks close.

If you want the most useful part of the page, the dimension layer is usually it.
